Raw Iceland

Iceland was an unforgettable trip for us. We were able to circle the whole country, exploring all kinds of geological phenomena. I don't have a favourite, it was all amazing–the volcanoes, glaciers, fjords, waterfalls, geysers, geothermal springs, lava fields, picturesque farm lands, the list goes on. Parts of Iceland are still untouched, making it more exciting as we explored everyday on our own. The Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle Route, and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon are also must see tourist attractions. The weather was also an adventure itself. We didn't see night in May, the darkest time was comparable to twilight. The sun shined, it rained, it snowed, and it hailed on us, all in one day. We may have seen a dozen rainbows throughout our trip too. Our trip ended with a helicopter ride around Reykjavik, landing on the summit of Mount Esja for one last look at this beautiful country. As a souvenir, my daughter collected rock samples from all the different places we visited–the best souvenir yet. I highly recommend Iceland for all types of travellers. It's one of the safest countries in the world. Iceland is very clean, eco friendly, and value their traditions to this day.
